The King William IV, Hampstead
This place has no redeeming features. I would no longer classify it as gay, the sole bitter pump is usually off and when it's on it's off if you follow. Even the lager is badly kept and that should be almost impossible. Staff range from indifferent to rude and the place has zero atmosphere. I would recommend the Duke of Hamilton, which judging by the piano dedicated to a certain well known gay icon could be the new gay pub, it's also a lot better pub.

The Harringay Arms, Crouch End
I gave his place a very positive review about two years back. I think the new owners started well but have lost their way. Been in a few times recently and their stock management seems a bit off with beers unavailable and/or not well kept. I suspect it may be changing hands again before long...

An improvement over All Bar One which was here before but a very middling JDW as previously described. Busy because it's cheap, as a result it attracts the old Wishing Well crowd who are all short of a bath.

The Railway Hotel, Hebden Bridge
No loss although I feel sorry for the tenants, and unfortunately the clientele are now dispersed where it did serve the purpose of keeping them all in one place.

The Railway Tavern, Crouch End
Not a good pub in my view, similar clientel to the Wishing well further down in crouch end, enough said. I've had a couple of duff pints here and a friend was looked at askance when he ordered wine, which was corked, although the bar staff argued the toss. The interior has been ripped about and has no character, and the only redeeming feature seems to be the live jazz. I disagree with the last comment which implies similar clientel with the Harinngay Arms. The HA is a fantastic atmospheric and genuine boozer. This place is a sh*te hole, although blessedly free of the Kings Head crowd.

Cracking good boozer, uinspoilt by the yummy mummies and 30 something w@nkers who populate the trendier pubs such as the Kings Head. How nice to be able to roder a pint of black and tan and the bar man knows what you want. Probably the only genuine opub in Crouch End.

Now close thank god. Ghastly overpriced chain, the only good point being the availability of Paulaner.
