really great bar...think it's been taken over by another group recently...but when the last few years it's been awesome!

lovely building. a very party fuelled atmosphere on a weekend as opposed to 'smooth, cool, moody' (etc etc). food could be better, but what the hell - it's not about the food midnight on a saturday!! i like this bar, yes yes!

great bar, good, sorry fantastic service. if you want a brilliant cocktail, it's the place to go. all the bar staff know their drinks, and can also make off-the-menu cocktails if the book of a menu still doesn't satisfy you!
not really a pretentious place at all, most people (not just Mr Kenincamden) seem to say that about cocktail bars...hmmmmmmmmm....
anyways...yes yes great bar. will be going again, and again, and again...

well.....what a great pub for gigs. when i lived in taunton, that was all there was to like really. and some football on the telly if you were inclined. the staff weren't the most welcome at first, but after a few times of going there, they seemed to accept me, and i finally got a smile.result!!......strange.
never eaten there but the menu always looked ok. nice refurb!

Oh...this bar is definately all about the beer garden! And it is lovely. The food menu isn't bad at all, and the addition of a Thai menu is slightly odd, but works anyway as it's damn tasty food. The drinks are a bit old fashioned, and I've always thought the staff didn't seem terribly professional, but it's a inoffensive nice little bar.

Good bar, amazing wine selection, lovely food. Sound system v.good, atmosphere is nearly always charged. Yes, most of the staff are foreign, but I think it adds to the continental atmosphere actually!
One of the best bars in Taunton. Shame that last time I was there a 'For Sale' sign was dominating the outside...

The Pitcher and Piano, Taunton
This is one of the best bars in Taunton. Fact. The other is the Most House, with Mambo/Millers coming up behind them, cos it's all about their beer garden. People would most probably whine about the price of drinks ANYWHERE in Taunton, as most of the population there frequent at the Perkin Warbeck or The coal Orchard (Whetherspoons/Lloyds) and are used to getting what they pay for in these venues; crap drinks.

The Fat Cat Cafe Bar, Deansgate Locks
This bar is no longer open, and will be re-opening as a Pitcher and Piano, June 2008.

Mojo, Manchester
Great bar really....good music system, and a good party atmosphere.
Two problems:
The bar staff are really quite rude.....
And the unlicensed bouncer pushed my friend down the stairs. Convieniently out of the way of any CCTV......
