The Horse and Groom, Merrow

It's a shame, this is basically still the same pub but the prices have increased heartily to pay for the new furniture.
Just popped in to share a bottle of wine with friends - �22 and that does not come with a smile or a thank you.
Perhaps one to miss in future which is a shame, I used to like this pub before it's 'make-over'. Change is good, but only if it's for the better.
Not in this case folks!

Having been to this pub again, I have to change my mind about what I said previously, I must have been on a good night last time. Completely different standard of service and food. Perhaps they have become complacent.

I love this pub, it's so clean and smart, the food is great - and the toilets are so clean which makes a lovely change! Much better than the other pub in Shere which I have no time for.

The White Horse, Shere

Went for a drink last night, haven't been for years, and now I remember why I never go there, the staff are so rude! If this pub wasn't in the cute village of Shere, it wouldn't last 5 minutes.
