Give it a chance! It is very different from the Toad in many ways, granted the interior layout is similar but that is pretty much where the similarity ends.
If you havn't been yet, give it a try before you condem it!!

I agree with you - the company should have made there decision to start with and stuck to it. The problem was that they didn't follow correct planning procedure with the landlord. (or so i understand)
Saturday the 12th is the closing date:(99.9% certain anyway)

Toad closure delayed again.
Looks to be Saturday 12th March as the last days trading.
Unless they decide to change it again.

As is it stands at the moment -this weekend is Toad's last weekend in Staines.
Some will be happy to see it go and some won't.
Personally i have a lot of fond memories here and i will miss it. Looking forward to see what Que Pasa is like though.
Don't forget - last weekend this weekend - going out with a BANG!!

I tell you what is quite funny - if i'm such a shi*e DJ why
the hell i am the only place on a Friday that has a FULL venue.
No where else can say that EVERY week.
The Toad sin't closing because its a cr*p venue - its closing
because the parent company has been bought out and the
new owners have there own 'Toad-like' venue - Que Pasa.

the rumours about Skool Disco being the last night for the Blue Anchor might well be true.
You'll have to come along and find out!!
