Pub is clean. Staff tend to be pretty efficient. I like it for the Polish Bottles Beers, which are excellent value. Food not great quality but good value for money if you are hungry. Overall, standard wetherspoon-factory affair but has a nicer ambiance than most I've been too and secrity is pretty good on a Friday night, which keeps the kids in line.

Great selection of British and foreign beers (ie more than just Fosters/Carling/JS/Guiness/Stella etc)

Came here for a pre-restaurant drink based on the reviews I read and felt that 2 things needed pointing out. It's (a) very smokey in here and, (b) very small. We went outside instead. It was not warm but better than choking on the fog inside. Aside from this, a nice place.

Amongst the many different beers on the menu, you can get Cologne's very own Kolsh beer here, which is primarily why I'm a fan. Great food (when they feel like making it), friendly people and no smoking! Seems to be free of chavs too.

The Marquis of Granby, Epsom
This is arguably the best pub in Epsom, depending on what you're looking for.
Lager wise, it's easily the best. Currently, there is the decent German pilsner Veltins, which I prefer to the Paulaner they used to have. In addition there's Budvar, Starpramen, Amstel, which make a nice alternative to the stranglehold of watery-beers like Fosters, Carling etc.
For Weissbeer, we have Franziskaner, which is lovely on draught.
I'm not a cider drinker but they do have Addlestones on tap plus some other bottled ciders.
Ale-wise this pub is lacking a bit. They have Doombar and a couple of others but I feel ale-drinkers will be disappointed with the selection and the general ambiance of this pub.
The food is of a high standard and offers a reasonable selection.
