Depending on what time of day you are here it is possible to be cut off by the high tide. Good excuse to have another drink

The Maid of Muswell, Muswell Hill
It looks as though they have a church service here on Sundays. Not unless they are pulling my leg. Serves a good pint of Erdinger in the correct glass. Staff are happy to add a slice of Orange

Potted plants, lampshades, comfy chairs, extra vivid swirly carpets, art deco ambience. So not a typical Wetherspoons atmosphere ie no OAP's amd off duty postmen. Still the drinks are cheap as chips

proper old school seventies wine bar. Good selection of wine but also lager on tap. They usually have live music at least once a week.

New Landlords in. London Pride has been added and food will be on again soon not unless you prefer the Wimpy bar opposite.
Great jukebox. Big selection. I stuck to Smiths, Steely Dan and The Stones but there are enough weird Kraut and prog epics to clear the room if need be.

Sadly no jukebox. But not surprising given its 500 years old but a wonderful place in Autumn to watch the leaves fall by the window. I concur that Hommel is the beer to try.

mainly a restaurant but has a small bar area. Excellent place to start a pub crawl on Lordship Lane

They serve dark leffe which is a good enough excuse to spend some time here.

Will be in for a scotch and lemonade but is there going to be a quiz?

Have to agree, best place to go to in Earl's Court. Good wine and Belgian beer selection. The service is excellent and the girls who work there remind me of the models in Impressionist paintings

what a shame this place is closing! It's one of the best bars in London. Guess we'll have to go to New York or Berlin or wherever there are bars like this. Certainly not in London

It's a great shame this place is closing. It will be loss to Enfield Town as a whole. Let's hope someone like Samuel Smith or McMullen's could come in and take over

sadly the quiz on Tuesday evening is no more. Bring back the quiz!

Now open again. Refurbished, but for once they haven't ripped the soul out of the place

Recently opened by the guys that run the Utobeer stall in Borough Market.Surprisingly bright with white walls and pine floors. I would've thought they would have gone for the smokey, dark feel of Belgian bars given the vast and sometimes unavailable belgian beers. However the outside decking area makes up for this with a superb view of Southwark Cathedral

Wonderful late night option. Excusing the pricey drinks the service is always good. Live music on most nights

this should be renamed guilty pleasures. If you like unreconstructed eighties wine bars this is the place. Especially if DJ George is on, playing Meatloaf,ELO etc. Other than that the food is excellent and good value and the wine list is always kept up to date

Refused entry due to being a single male. Was told all male parties would be refused.

This place improves with age. When I first came to this place 10 years ago it was more a remnant of the old boozy Soho-Jeffrey Bernard et al. I don't ever remember any Spanish people drinking or working there unlike now.

The Tiroler Hut, Westbourne Grove
I went here last night. I asked if I could just have a drink and was told no. I decided to have a meal and certainly no complaints about the food especially with both Austrian and Hungarian dishes, however as I was about to leave I noticed quite a few people at the bar just drinking and there were a couple of tables by the side which seemed to also for drinkers only. So do you need to be a regular to be able to just have a drink?

excellent early in the week supping from a selection of Belgian beers while watching obscure videos like Koyaanisqatsi

probably the best pub in Enfield and the most civilised. The atmosphere is cosy with low lighting almost like a Dutch brown cafe. The tuesday quiz is something of an institution.

excellent small traditional pub, originally much smaller. Bar staff always friendly
