This pub has always had a warm greeting despite some odd looks. Live music is certainly their thing with a good rock dj on alternative fridays, why this isnt a regular thing is a bit stupid as the other week is karaoke in which one bearded bloke seems to be interested. Bands are good on a saturdays and many good nights had. Only problem is the seating. Staff are friednly and some i recognise from the Kings head.

Ive been going here since the local councils failure to keep 2 of Enfields finest establishments The Arms and The Kings Head. The staff are friendly the service is really pleasing and it has a nice warm atmosphere. Choice of beers is pretty good, even includes a few decent ales for the older gentleman. Drinks are a little on the expensive side, but has not put us off. Try the quiz on a Thursday, but make sure you beat the grey haired ferret faced bloke.

Last night on 15th, yep another pub in Enfield bites the dust. Lets all buy some beers and hang around outside terrorising youngsters! Do they still sell thunderbirds?

O'Connors Freehouse, Palmers Green
Was the coolest place to go, enjoyed birthdays new years and always had a great time. A real gem in a dirt water town

Its changed hands once again. Some of the riff raff spurs fans are drinking elsewhere but more morons have shown up. The staff actually speak English these days and the beer tastes so much better. The guvnor will bow to your comand and put on whatever sport you might want to watch. The food is ok, they now have a geordie cook who actually knows how to serve food up instead of some of the old lot who threw it on a plate. Sad to see the end of the Aussie girls though. A decent jukebox and the guvnor always tries to put a live band on so this place may just be in the right hands now.

After hearing from younger brother how much this place had improved, i went along with some alcohol swigging chums on a sunday evening as our usual haunt was closed due to a local chav trying to burn it down. The stag has always been a pub that provided a warm welcome, and sadly this has changed. It does not fare well when even though there are no customers bombarding the barstaff for drinks, and you stand for 10 minutes waiting top get served. The staff were rude and got our order wrong, my fault as i couldnt speak moron. We sat and felt like i had walked into the twighlight zone, i dont even think we finished our drinks and headed for the door. The prices had shot up and were actualy dearer than the cricketers.

I visited The Well after some friends were given some good reviews on The Well. The food was nothing special, and a little pricey for what was served up. Two of our party had the same thing from the menu and only one meal was served with unfeasably large onion rings, and the turkey did not come with cranberry sauce, yorkshire puddings and for 20 could have put out some crackers.
The waitreses were the best thing about this place, polite, friendly, looked great and deserved the tip we left.

I really try to hate this place but i cant. The Thai food ahs started again, and hopfully the service is better. The manager is adecent bloke, the staff are really friendly and the waiting time to get served is not bad. Now this is over 21's it much better, although it always seems to show spurs on the tv's and main screen. the food is usual pub menu's but its served up well. The prices are not too bad, but then someone had to pay for the refit. Karaoke and jam night on alternate fridays, although its the usual faces doing poor spice girls karaoke.

Probably the best place to have a quiet drink during the week the prices are ok, the same chain own the awful goosea the george. the staff do take forever to serve you, the old staff were great they knew what you wanted, they did indeed run the place. But i suppose every new manager ahs his own ideas, saying that i dont recall ever seeing him working. Friday nights are the best, althought the manager has not used to the fact songs do have and ending. Nothing worse than not hearing you favourite records merged into some god awful cover of aha's take on me complete with trumpets. Some great characters in here. At least the bar staff dontspend the night on the fruit machines now. avoid the quiz night on tuesday it goes on forever and the prixe is always a voucher to spend in there and the raffle always seems to be a bag of McCoys crips.

Once you get a a table this could be a great night for you, yes it has drunk blokes ogling your latest love interest, but a really nice place. It used to be a bar called Browns, before taken over. It does have entertainment most evenings and even forgets its Irish element when the England football games are on. can only fault taps on the fact the entrance is always jammed, and the place is full of male hairdressers. I had some nice sandwiches here once. A decent place if you like to avoid anyone under 21. the music does need to change , it always seemes to play the same songs every time in. the karaoke is awful, and the dj only wants to play what he wants.

Prior to the Goose, the George was a really nice pub and certainly did not have the chav culture it now has. The staff are the worst in Enfield, the place sucks. The drinks are cheaper than all othes, but if your 15 you'll love it. Another example of a pub chain losing the plot in exchange for profit. Avoid, ill score it 1 just for having tv' without sound. Cheap but certainly not cheerfull. Food is ok, but i had a tuna cheese baguette that was cold and tasted odd.

The Enfield Arms, Enfield Town
Knocking this pub down was the end of an era. Despite a huge public outcry, the council decided to knock it down and make way for parking space for the vehicles used for the construction of a new unneeded shopping centre. I spent many a great night in the arms, christmas eve has not been the same since. Despite the tv being nothing more than a portable, the place was packed for world cups. The juke box was legendary and had some superb music. the brewery mismanaged this great place and allowed itself to be bullied by the council. There are occssional Arms reunions in the celbic hall in lancaster road, but its not the same. The last night was emotional, yes its only a pub and the toilets were terrible but the staff were fantastic. Sadly missed.

Probably the most expensive beer in the whole of London. There is a dining area and reasonably sized tv here. The menu is basic and again quite expensive for what it is. The staff are polite and has the cleanest tables ive ever sat on. There is a lovely beer garden front and side and in the summer this is a welcome change.

Now this is a superb place to visit. The beer is a little pricey, but its good beer, none of your fosters muck. The seating area at the front is very smart and the staff are probably the best in the whole of Enfield, and Ron the doorman is a proper nice bloke. Never had any problems in my frequent visits, there are regular live bands and they have a jazz night on a Thursday! Nice.

This used to be a superb pub, but its not called moon under age for nothing! It now has a pub quiz on a wednesday and there is a different food event each night. Do try the curry night on a thursday. The saving grace is that they sell Budweiser on draught

The Twelve Pins, Finsbury Park
This is a superb place to have a drink with friends either at the start of the evening or for a night in a pub. The staff are very welcoming and if you want to watch an Arsenal game the atmosphere is fantastic. I have enjoyed many great days in the pins. I went to see Limp Bizkit play in finsbury park a couple of years ago and thought it was crap so i headed off to the 12 pins and had a great night in there.

The Old Bell, Enfield
The finest pub in Enfield, warm friendly staff who always greet you as if youve been there every day for years.
I wanted to watch the rugby and asked the staff and without hesitation the tv was switched on straight away. i stayed on to watch the football and enjoyed the banter between keen viewers.
Live music is brilliant and the quiz is always worth turning up for. Very impressed at the massive effort from the landlady to give Enfield drinkers some entertainment with their drink. This place deserves a visit, i would also recommend the pork scratchings. Seating has also improved and the rear smoking area is quite comfortable.
