The Boat House, Matlock

Same as it was when i used to drink in there about 15 years ago!!
No bad thing but it could do with a change of some sort.
Beer ok - nothing special but drinkable.
Always seems to be busy so they must be doing something right!

The Rendezvous, Matlock

Probably the best bar in town.
Good selection of well priced drinks, including a good selection not sold elsewhere in town.
Excellent atmosphere, good decor, friendly bar staff.
A higher class of establishment than usual in Matlock and free from the usual pikeys!
With the Monk Cellar now being open, Matlock finally has two good places to frequent at the weekend.
(I can also recommend the tapas menu served most days from 5 - 8pm!! again a welcome change from the norm)

Harvey's Wine Bar, Matlock

Cheap & nasty, reminds me of some really bad clubs about 15 years ago. Needs some serious work to bring it up to date.
Beer is rubbish. It may be chaeper than other places in town but it shows!
Avoid at all costs, there are planty of better bars (well two!) within a minutes walk.
