The Shaftesbury, Holloway

this pub is now open, popped in on saturday for a few beverages and something to eat good selection of real ales, Litovel on tap being the only draught but its a nice tasting lager, then the usual suspects in the bottle fridges. Had the steak and ale pie- really good and my friend had the king prawn rarebit- also extremely good.
fairly traditional decor with a funky jukebox playing lots of classics (free at the mo).
this pub is a welcome addition to this side of the hill. Good luck to the couple running it.

The Roebuck, Hampstead

this pub is lovely, i have nothing bad to say, i met the female manager (not sure who the previous person was talking to but its defifitely a lady not a bloke) and found her to be very helpful and generally a good sort, i do agree that some of the staff are indeed a little stuck up, but they were efficent and my drinks were served wuickly and with no issues. all good as far as im concerned.

The Stinging Nettle, Shepherds Bush

lament 666 what are you talking about i love this venue, yes it is a little pricey but this keeps the riff raff from the area out. i have witnessed the staff removing the people you describe from the pub and doing their best to make this pub safe and pleasant, the hand dryer in the mens does work i dried my hands underneath it only yesterday.
i feel you may of come on a bad day and would advise you revisit, please to all other readers do not be put off this pub is safe and friendly.
