No problem with drinking alcohol at all, but staggering around the place and joining in other more sober peoples conversations is a bit off putting, to those of us not as pissed by 6pm that is.

Sadly you can spend as much as you like on a refurb, but until you get rid of the local drunks this will still remain the place to avoid in Kew.....

Oh, and I forgot to say, the 'crispy fried crab dumplings' are deep fried crab balls......who are you trying to kid ????

So I thought I'd give this place one last try after the refurb........first impressions not too bad, however the prices are now absurd. Also the underlying problems remain the same, the kitchen is right next to the bogs and the staff are much the same as before, so the service is useless. Last visit, end of.

A return visit......no refurb and no improvement........surly landlord too. From what I hear do not put your card behind the bar. You have been warned.......

Nice pub right on the High St, good Sunday lunch. Will be back in the summer for the cricket pitch behind - looks lovely.

Having just 'survived' the Railway, we made our way over here. Totally different atmosphere and set up. Good selection of Ales, clean and tidy, and service pretty OK. Decided to eat - good but pricey....
Only downside comment - quite surprised to see toddlers in here in the evening, but reading other comments it seems this is the norm......
If visiting Kew again, this would be my pub of choice.

Visited last night for the first time. A strange pub, the locals seem a mix of chronic alcoholics and local chavs. Beer not bad, usual Fullers selection, but service was terrible. The whole place seemed grubby, but this did in no way prepare me for the Gents.....Jesus Christ !!! On discovering the kitchen was next to the gents we decided against eating......
As I said my first visit and very probably my last. Overheard talk of a refurb, but where to start ???

The Inn At Kew, Kew
Was looking forward to a good old afternoon of rugby in here today......unfortunately the volume of the screaming toddlers drove us to move to Richmond.....shame, that will be it for quite a few during the 6 Nations I'd imagine.
