The Queens Hotel, Douglas

this is a friendly place with plently on the plate in the food department. some of the customers are quite passionate about pool, but in the time i spent there i invariably won because i am from east london and their made up rules do not phase me. i recommend the ale and it does a nice pint of busheys!!!

The Windmill, Upminster

this is without doubt the best pub to get drunk in within a five mile radius. in fact everyone in there seems to have gone there for that specific reason. everyone is drunk but in the main quite friendly. some entertaining nands

The Thatched House, Upminster

The staff are friendly and efficient. However the sunday lunch is quite awful. The beef was processed and tasted of dog food. They clearly do not employ a chef. Could try harder.
