I was in here last night, its true the manager has gone, the manager from Cheam is coming here next week, lets hope he talks to customers , and makes them feel welcome. Beer was good had to wait a little bit , but is was Friday night.Will be back now she has gone

Mark now you have joined this site after being in the pub for nearly a year, i think it is about time you upgrade the grapes, as you dont have, pool table,karaoke on a Tuesday, and no sky tv the only tv channel you have is on a LOOP.

Hoppy has opened a new account to make it look like he has a pal, i wont move on or out i like to stalk hoppy, and now i got you to, and and as for the new name it is spelt wrong, maybe that is why hoppy is laughing but not sure if he can spell either. It is spelt Thorburn, Going back to the pub was in here today for lunch had the fish and chips it was very good my pals had steak and said it was very nice ,we only had soft drinks as we had to go to a meeting after lunch. service was good.

Had a nice few pints of nice cold lager in here yesterday, sat in the garden with friends and enjoyed. Food was good, service still needs to improve, but good day had by all.

Hoppy you need to talk to your mate the road sweeper a bit more or have you fallen out,all he does is slag the staff,management and the beer off and always has done ,so you need to start telling the truth.I even heard him in the grapes in the last 2 weeks moaning about the moon.

S31CUK, i was in here the other night with my girlfriend, i was a bit late coming in the beer was ok but i have tasted better. There was a couple of ladies lol customers having words with the staff, the language from both was terrible. I thought you were going to improve this pub not seen much change in the staff or customers if anything the pub has got worse. It will be along time before you will see me again. Terrible

The management dont care, the comment below is right all the best staff have gone.The ales are terrible. You cant get served, the staff dont know how to talks to the customers. I have moved to the grapes now better beer service and staff.Someone needs to look at this pub and get to the bottom of what is going on.The manager should be moved on

The last comment is spot on.The manager wont even serve a customer she would rather ignore you.I heard three staff talking the other day,saying them two never come out of that office, the pub has gone down hill in the last couple of month and the beer.

I am not really sure what has happened in this pub but went in here again today,for a pint or two before i got my bus, i had 1 pint the staff are terrible, the beer is not alot better,and all i hear is the customers moaning about the management.In the end went over to all bar one, service is good clean tidy pub. SOMEONE needs to go and sort this pub out. If anyone knows what has happen please let me know.TERRIBLE one of the worse pub i have been in for service.

Went in here yesterday with my wife and 3 kids, i waited at the bar for 10 mins, the staff would rather chat to each other than serve customers.We had food came out cold, we went to complain but gave up in the end as we waited at the bar again. Whoever the manager is he/she needs to train the staff. I had a guest ale was ok but have had better. Will try the one down the bottom of Sutton this week.

I went in here on Saturday just to see any improvement i don't know why i bothered.This pub has got worse, the last tenant was very unfriendly, rude and did'nt care about her customers, she lost so many , now it has be given to a couple who are even worse lost the few customers that were still going in the pub , The best thing that can happen to this pub is to knock it down, the people who are trying to run it are running it more into the ground than the last woman, the place is dirty and the loos smell terrible. Young's should try and get someone in this pub who wants the job and got time for customers and will clean the place up. it was always clean and tidy with the last person.

One unhappy and rude landlady has left this pub who lost all her good customers because she was only interested in certain customers never had time for the spenders. Now we have got a woman i would like to say lady but i would be a liar who does not stop swearing has rude staff. What have Youngs done to this pub it is such a shame. With the new landlady the place is dirty music is so loud you cant talk to anyone ,staff rude untidy and always swearing.I will not be going back, when i go into Sutton must weekends we go to the robin hood now the nelson will not last much longer it will be another locals pub turned into flats because no one is going to go in the pub with staff like this working behind bar.

This pub must be the worst pub in the area, rude slow staff, if you dont know someone behind the bar you could wait 10 minutes as the staff will serve all friends first. I had a pint of Carlsberg first and it was so flat i brought it back the trouble i had to change it the staff telling me it is ok nothing wrong with it ,ask to speak to the manager he was as rude as the staff serving. The loos were in a terrible mess when i went in on Wednesday night looked like had not been cleaned for a few days, plus 3 young men in one cubicle that is strange. Someone a bit higher needs to take a good look at this pub and try and improve it because it has lost alot of customers in the last few months over staff being rude.
