Woodrow Wilsons, Carlisle

I lost a friend to this place, have you seen him?? Think cheap and cheerful, its got a good range of drinks. The local area has been totally transformed in recent years. Its always a good place to go before a night out. Most doubles are under 3 and theres always a special offer or two, so forget about your liver, you never liked it anyway.

Definitely not up market, its a real hell hole. I used to work there and trust me its a dump. Remember when they decided to do a rock night on Wednesdays? Bad idea. Forget label junkies, there probably just regular junkies.

I think this was the in place to go when my mum was young; these days it always seems a bit of a dodgy. Its to bright inside and defenatly has a problem with the dcor. Its a shame because its in a good location and could be a really nice place.

Stay away from the veggie burger! it was always an ok place for a good pint, it used to be a bank so its really big and has a bit of a cold atmosphere.

The White Horse, Oxford

Good place to go and escape. I thought this was the smallest pub? Or one of them anyway, so it only takes five people and its packed. Its true they had a guitar problem for a while. its such a cute little place with a really cosy feel, its defenatly one of the best in oxford.

Alright pal??
Nice place for old people to eat egg and chips, nice garden area, although stay away from the land lord, hes a loony, presuming its still him.

That photo of the alley sums it up, great live music and have wicked bar staff, and the juke box wasnt bad ether.

The Bear, Oxford

Great back street boozer.
Really historic and all that, i like the one about the hooker ex land lady collecting the ties of her clients. It known for being the wonkiest, during my duller days I was tempted to go at it with a spirit level.
The tourists, strangely, never seemed to be able to open the doors, and no, they dont sell t shirts.
Nice food, although its suspiciously similar to every other pubs in oxford. Try the delightful beer garden, the ideal place for a large GnT, with lime and loads and loads of ice.

The Chequers Inn, Oxford

great pub, it has a special place in my heart; a fantastic drinking venue before a night out, a brilliant place to party. I had some of the best and worst days of my life in that place. Its really disorientating because down that alley its always dark, so you can lose track of time, days and months in fact, Im living proof! I have some really special, yet very hazy memories. It used to have a terrible dj, really bad music, and boasted one of the most terrible cocktail bars I have ever come across although the legendary staff made up form all that, it was bloody great fun. Not sure what its like now though, Im still sure that place has got so much potential.
