Friendly enough place. The first time I had been in it but was made to feel welcome. As SomersetChris says a ggod spot to relax, read the paper and have a pint after work. I can imagine is really busy when Celtic games are on though!

Got to agree it looks like an improvement has been made of late. Had a meal deal in there on Wednesday night, less the �4 for burger, chips and a pint. Food and beer fine. Service prompt and plenty of screens for the footy. Will be back.

I was in on Thursday night (27th Nov) and there was a good selection of ales on. Enjoyed a couple of pints of Young's Winter Warmer. Nice atmosphere and bar staff are friendly enough. Recommended.

The George, Poole
We were in here before and after the Poole v Whitley Bay game. Good pub, friendly locals and good beer. The service was good too. The only bad thing before the game was the England Cricket team!
