Went in here recently and discovered a good pint and friendly atmosphere. But on further inspection you can see the pub is in need of major TLC. Current tenants have done a lot but the real money needs to be spent by the owners. Unfortunately it is no longer doing food as the kitchen has been closed (there is some of the investment needed) Why do I get the feeling this is another pub company just biding their time until Tesco makes them a good enough offer. What a shame these pubs never get offered to the tenants to buy and keep as a pub.

Haven't been to this pub in years but popped in for lunch. Staff friendly food came out suspiciously quick but seemed ok (if u like microwaved jacket tats). Larger was not very good quality especially at £4.90 per pint. Shame seems to be another pub that has forsaken beer quality for food. I wish these foody pubs would keep up the beer sttandards.

Looks like there is a new landlord here. Cant wait to see what he is going to do with the place. Fingers crossed it is all good.

Answering the last comment sfocata obviously didnt look very far for the beer garden as there is one out the back with a heated smoking area in fact they even had a marquee and a six foot screen in the back garden for the world cup. It is accessed through the bottom bar which is at present going through a refurb. I cant wait to see what they are going to do with it. So next time go out the back and you can have a nice relaxing drink without having to listen to the thick blokes.

The Dukes Head, Sandhurst
Another one closed probably from neighbour complaints making it impossible to trade as a pub. When will people learn not to buy a house near a pub if you dont like the pub.
