great little back street boozer - plenty of character, good beer and attractive barstaff. Food was Ok in my opinion and the service friendly - did i mention the barstaff? Would definately visit again if only for the barstaff.

visited today. Decent pint of Pride and some good guest ales. Seemed very quiet - must be all those pretentious w*nkers going to the Castle to drink the Bazelgette Pride and competing to see who can laugh the loudest over unfunny jokes....

What a great old traditional boozer! Good beer, friendly staff and Britain like it used to be. If they cud put Sweeney on the TV, blue bag of salt in the crisps, Supercockle at 9.30pm and a row of Ford Anglias and Consuls in the car park, it wud be perfick.

The Castle, Harrow On The Hill
the pride is variable and the measures often short - probably due to lack of training for the foreign bar staff? However the location and ambience is superb with a great beer garden for the summer. NB. Gas masks required some nights when the guy with the meerschaum puts his stink on the place! Roll on Summer 07.
