could do with a bit of a spruce up but the locals don't seem to mind.

This is a strange place,it looks more like a restaurant than a bar but doesn't have a large menu.
It does quite nice sharing platters but the drinks are expensive and even if its busy it never seems to have a good atmosphere.
Still its clean and pleasant.

I work in The Bay and sometimes get dragged here for a leaving do or birthday.
I really don't see the attraction,beer and food are both really expensive.
Its always packed(?) so you can never get a seat.
coffee and cake offer for �2.99 is a good deal in the afternoons though.

This is one of my regular haunts as I work in The Bay.
Its a great little pub,great value beer,good pub food .
the only thing letting it down is the outside umberella heaters,they have been broken for a while and still not been repaired.
Its a shame as we have sat outside in the snow with the heaters on,pure cozy.

The Waterguard, Cardiff
Great place in the summer, often overlooked as it looks nothing like a pub.
Both drinks and food are good but on the pricey side.
Major problem for me is it's quite draughty in the Winter and never really feels cosy.
