Sunday roasts where you feel like you've been eating forever and it just goes on and on!

The Sun, Hounslow

The Thai food is to die for and last sunday decided to go for one of their roast lucnches. I got a lot more food than was expected. There were three of us, and when I saw the vegetables that came out i was impressed, but then.... we got 2 more huge portions of vegetables and we each got a huge boatful of gravy and they didn't skimp on the yorkshire puds!!! Will definatley be going back for the food!!!

The only downside was that if you go on a day when the footie is on, and like me you're not a fan, your lunch gets interupted by booing or cheering. The tables are a little uncomfortable but the food more than makes up for it.

The Shire Horse, Hounslow

I went in to this pub for the first time in years, as i had heard that the it was under new management. I have to say i was suitably impressed. The new staff were friendly and very welcoming. The Kronenburg was the best pint i had had in a long time, and I went on to tell the new owner, who assured me that this was because the lines are regularly cleaned twice weekly.

The decor of the place has completely changed and and it's fresh and clean. The most comfortable thing about the pub is that they make everyone, no matter what race colour or creed feel like they are the most important person in the pub.

I have to say that my friends and i had been dubious about going at first, but it was the only pub in the area open, and i can safely say that we will be going back.

It's one of the few pubs that i've been to that actually utilises it's late licence (till 1am)
