The Blarney Stone, Bedford

Used to be very lively, especially at the weekends, when there was a punch up most Fridays and Saturdays. Now usually empty.
I can see this place closing soon.

The Flower Pot, Bedford

Not bad, I quite like this pub, with usually 3 real ales on handpump, not too extortionate either, although it does seem to be popular with gays. Don't worry about them if that's not your thing, they won't bother you.

Fun quiz on Wednesdays is quite good.

Used to be nicknamed "The Brickthrowers Arms", having been there I can understand why.

I'm over 21 so I'm probably not allowed in, not that I'd fancy it anyway.
Has apparently cleaned up it's act but still the same old chavs hanging about outside.
