Stayed in a hotel next to this pub on a work night and was in most nice with colleagues. Friendly staff, good prices and an excellent pint of Golden Hen. Shall deffo return when next in Bristol.

Have to say I was very dissapointed by this place, having heard very many good things about it.
Maybe they ahd run out with Fulham playing at home but went a few weeks ago and there were only two real ales on, both of which were good it has to be said. Maybe I was expecting too much but not sure this pub is worth all the hype.

Maybe we were just lucky but popped in with my mate last week, having been often enough on a match day where the atmos is fantastic.
Had a couple of very nice pints served by very pleasant staff (no sign of landlord or lady as mentioned in so many posts!).
Will certainly be back on our next toddle along the riverside.

renzarov - Because of where it is, the pub does not open on a weekend, it being off the beaten track for tourists and there being very few local residents. Does sometimes open on a Sunday for the marathon, Remembrance Sunday and over the Jubilee but mostly closed. Worth popping on a week night though.

This is my local and to be honest its fairly dissapointing. Nice enough inside, but go for a drink outside, and with all the traffic, you might as well sit on Shepherds Bush roundabout.
Food is very rarely above average and often below. Often only have one or two real ales on, and sometimes they run out. If you are in the area, well worth the 5min walk to the Nightingale.

A beler. Been going to the Speaker for years. Always have a decent range of ales on and Dennis and his staff are always friendly. Not very big, and being off the beaten track not too many tourists and a good number of regulars. A real gem.

The Lord Clyde, Borough
This is an excellent pub, went here with a friend after work. The decor, fixtures and fittings are great and its like stepping back in time. Staff friendly and a decent (somewhat standard?) range of real ales, all of which were well kept. Well worth a visit.
