Sorry to see so many negative reviews here; I think it is still a great option for whiling away a sunny afternoon with one of the best views of the City across the river. I was pleased to see they had Kosel on draught, having recently enjoyed it in Prague- but had to wince a bit at paying �4.60 for the privilege.
I have usually found the barstaff to be friendly and efficient. But maybe it is because I tend to go at less busy times.
Whatever you say about the Founders, it is still a lot better than the once great but now ruined Anchor Bankside and the so called "Old" Thameside downriver - what a sad waste of great riverside drinking space those two are!

The Mug House has always been a welcome bolt hole - calm and civilised compared to most of the London Bridge/ Borough Market tourist traps and commuter crushes. I have noticed a steady improvement with much friendlier staff and a wider range of beers, including Meantime. This - and the Boot and Flogger - definitely my favourite drinking spot in the locality.

The Barrowboy and Banker, London Bridge
I'm a bit surprised at the comments suggesting the BB&B is a bit run-of-the mill. Perhaps customers' appreciation is a little dulled by the ESB. It's a wonderful building and has some great features - the murals, the upstairs gallery, the sweeping circular bar. Try going early before the suits and alcohol get in the way of enjoying the view! The Porter on draft - my favourite pint in a Fullers - is not avaialble everywhere but is usually on here.

The Mad Hatter Hotel, Southwark
It's a lovely looking place, and I like Fullers' pubs, but this one suffers from being a hotel bar, rather than a proper pub. I dropped in yesterday thinking about a few drinks and Sunday lunch and left after a swift pint, as the muzak was so bad and the non-English speaking staff took a good ten minutes to handle the unchallenging order of a pint of Chiswick and a glass of white wine (both staff on the case appeared somewhat offended to be distracted from their conversation and bewildered by the exercise of matching the wine list to the labels on the bottles, finding a clean glass and then measuring out the quantity specified in the wine list). My initial surprise that there were hardly any other customers dissloved as I realised that they had either got fed up waiting and moved on or had simply expired from terminal dehydration.

The Southwark Tavern, London Bridge
They say the Wheatsheaf is going to repoen soon in its original and historic location in Borough Market round the corner, but I might stick with the Southwark Tavern. Had a few leisurely drinks with Mrs Wilko on Sunday evening; not too busy, knowledgeable and friendy barman, nice range of beers including some I hadn't heard of - a Berry's winter brew was excellent. This pub also has a distinctive basement bar that is a real treat - I like to take visitors there.
