The Last Post, Southend on Sea

I just have to comment on this hell hole. It used to be 'ok' but I went with a friend for lunch for old times sake and it was just awful. We waited 40 mins for our vegtable dishes only to be then told they didn't have any veg and then waited a further hour for our second choices. There were 11 glasses on our table and argos flyers stuck fast to the stickyness.

Don't go, it's for old drunks during the day and young tarts at night.

The Whitmore Arms, Orsett

This is a great pub. I had my engagement meal there and they made the whole thing really special. I had the largest starter I have ever seen, the mackerel was amazing. All the food was great, the staff friendly and an atmosphere which makes you always want to stay for 'just one more' Thank you to everyone there.

The Theobald Arms, Grays

Still a fantastic pub but watch which beer garden you choose. There are two, one is still full of chilled out people the other full of mad dogs and Englishman drinking beer in the midday sun. They're harmless enough but just be aware of it!!
