Glad to see the Cavendish is open again. Have often stopped here for a pint or three when visiting friends or watching the football. Not everyones cup of tea but I like it as it's a good little boozer. Will be looking forward to trying the breaksfast soon.

Ended up in the Star last night and had a good laugh. They had a mad band on called skasouls who did a brilliant gig. Place was packed and I didn't smell the chips either :-) Had a good night in the hob and the star but the Town Hall is not up to it.

Popped in for a few last night had a good time and noticed the truly fit barmaids, nice touch!!

Always like this pub, has cleane4d up a bit recently to but the beer is a little off the wall for some people but I am not particularly fussy. I like this place.

I quite like this pub in the evenings if I am up this end of town. Nice and clean and a comfotable environment.

Boring pub. We left the North Star and started drinking here because the star was rubbish but to be honest this place is not much better these days. Now the North Star is under new ownership we have started going back there. Shame really as when we first came here it was alright but the beer is naff and the bar staff are dull.

Avoided this pub for a while now but heard/read it is under new ownership. What a change they have made. The pub is totally different. Its clean, good atmosphere with none of the dodgy pikey lot that used to use or work in the pub. We work in an office down the road and are coming back to the Star in future. The guys behind the bar are excellent and the beer is good. Can't wait for the food to happen as if its anything like the rest of the improvements then happy days.

Love this place for gigs will have to visit again soon. Beer is alright but mainly bottles which is easier for me when watching gigs.
