As ell has said, SIGN THE PETITION. This is the only pub with any merit near Leyton Station and is also a great example of an unspoilt Charrington's exterior. It is currently up for sale on the Fleuret's web site (along with the Waltham Oak in Lea Bridge Road and the Pig and Whistle in Wood Street).
This is the one worth saving!

It was our wedding anniversary at the weekend so we dropped in for a lunchtime drink and a meal.
We both had packets of Tesco Value Crisps as starters (we bought them from the Tesco round the corner on the way).
For the main course we had pan fried economy fish fingers served on a bed of pot noodles.
Our dessert was a Whitbread Gold Label Ice Cream Flamb.
We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and for drinks I had a pint of Cinzano Bianco followed by a quart of Glencoe Malt Whisky.
The wife had 5 two litre bottles of Diamond White from Tesco that she had cunningly smuggled through in her handbag.
The staff were attentive and friendly.
That was until they spotted the empty Diamond White bottles strewn around our table, at which point they physically ejected us!

I came in here for Sunday Lunch at the weekend.
For starters I had the deep fried squirrel nougats with Daddies Sauce and for main I had the tripe and onion souffl with ASDA Smartprice Tomato Ketchup.
The dessert consisted of a Diamond White Sorbet with a loganberry coulis.
To drink I had a pint of Bombay Sapphire followed by a quart of Yellow Chartreuse. Very enjoyable!

Red Lion, Ealing
I did the Fullers 200 crawl back in the 90's and they weren't exactly cheap then.
I do remember the Red Lion being one of their better houses.
A pint of ESB in the Anchor and Hope in E5 (probably their most basic pub) is 3.50. This afternoon I was imbibing 10% ABV Keykeg Brodie's beers for less than that, and they were superb.
As far as I am concerned Fuller's houses are a no go area, irrespective of how good the pub is.
Even London Pride in Spoons is more expensive than the generally more interesting guest list or something from a local micro.
To me Fullers have lost their way, not to the same degree as Youngs as their beer is still good, but they are really nothing more than an expensive pub chain.
