One of my favourite pubs ever. Yes, its pretty dirty, and yes the toilets are very unpleasant but its got so much character, and a great atmosphere.
Can be a little intimidating on first arrival, seeing the motley crew gathered round the end of the bar, but then when one gets up to serve you and is friendly and smiling, you know you're gonna be ok!

Lovely little pub, away from the bustle of the town centre. Friendly landlord and well kept beers, with a revolving door on guest ales. If you dont like one, there'll be a different one the next week.
Never tried the food, but the beers great.

Chicago Rock Cafe, Southampton
To the reviewer below, Oceans and Collins is down the road, about 150 yrds from the Firehouse(formerly Chicago Rock)and if you like trendies and chavs, youd be well suited there.
If on the other hand you like good rock music, reasonable drinks and good looking, friendly staff, you'll like the Firehouse.
2 pool tables, a very good jukebox and a nice riser area for bands to play, and a regular supply of live music (pretty much every weekend IIRC)
Since the Nexus went downhill there's not been any kind of rock bar in Southampton (all due respect to Goblets) and Firehouse is a breath of fresh air.
