When I visted there seemed to be a good atmosphere and mix of people. Its been recently refurbished. The ale is another story. Three handpumps but only ansells was on. This tasted foul and was obviously off, however member of staff was extremley unhelpful and rude when I asked for them to be changed. Why put ale on when your staff don't know how to look after it or the customers?

Goose At The Fighting Cocks, Moseley
Listed Victorian pub with a nice look inside. A bit of trendy crowd at weekends and always packed on friday and saturday, in fact its so full its 3 deep at the bar. 3 well kept real ales usually on, but food is just OK and takes ages to arrive. one of the best pubs in Moseley, but avoid on Fri and sat nights unless you don't mind waiting at least 20 mins

Old Moseley Arms, Balsall Heath
The Old Mo' is a traditional unpretentious Victorian pub run by a friendly couple and is a great place for a quite drink far enough away from the weekend madness of Moseley to be able to get a seat . It features two rooms with a bar in between and an outside covered area. There's always a guest ale on along with HPA, Butty Bach and Enville Ale. Every couple of months there's a beer festival featuring around 12 ales with live music out back. Indian food is available and a juke box with an interesting choise of tunes.
