nice renovation job, bit big and acoustically unsound due to the high ceilings, however the selection of bbers is excellent, the staff are friendly (something not often found with workington folk full-stop(before you say anything i grew up there too)) and the assistant manager lass is gorgeous, always a bonus... food is standard McWetherspoons fare, nothing great, nothing bad...

"2.90 for a guinness, bit steep"? that's not a comment, that's a factor that keeps the riff raff out. northampton has a reputation for heavy drinking but the prices here keep the clientelle ad the resulting atmosphere. hats off to the manaer monty for the intense entertainment lineup each month. this place is always busy, on stage and in the seats... check in...

The Charles Bradlaugh, Northampton
fantasic pub this, the assistant manager is a nutter, and the bar staff are all pretty easy going. wicked place to be thurs till sat nights as it's seen as a pre club bar for the lounge, and the soundhaus, although you'll probably get sucked in and stay all night. recently got a new tapas menu and a later license til 2 on fr and sat. they provide a free drink for birthday boys and girls too, always a bonus. not cheap, but this keeps the idiots out... a great place for students and old fogeys alike...

not a bad place, full of "the beautiful people" but with ecent cocktails, good music and a late license which means it's full of barstaff from various pubs after dark... worth a look in the evenings, and it's two for on (4.00) on cocktails till midnight mon to thur

a great pub for ale lovers, featuring 9 cask ales from a good smattering of yorkshire breweries aswell as stuff from further afield. whe i went the staff were friendly and genuine. none of that fake smile rubbish. i would definately reccomend it to others
