Carshalton old chap/girl, reading your recent reviews i'm wondering whether you actually go into a pub to have a pint and a chat, or to check out it's interior decor, perhaps you should be writing for Homes And Gardens :-)

I've lived in Carshalton and its environs for 50 years and have only just started drinking in The Hope, at last Carshalton has a proper real ale boozer with the added bonus of the occasional folk night, congratulations to Susanna for transforming this old wreck into a pub that's a lot more shipshape, long may she sail !
