The Grafton Arms, Kentish Town
A hangout for geezers and drunken Irish OAPs but I've never had any hassle in there. They have Newcastle Brown and it's a decent place to watch the football. (Two TVs and a big screen)

Great pub, especially at Christmas when the ceiling is festooned with lights. Lovely Belgian Christmas beer. Mmmmmm.... Can get rather smokey though.

A great addition thin selection of pubs down this end of town. Went in earlier this month on a Friday night for a 'quick one' after the cinema and ended up staying for over two hours, spening over 60 on three pints, three large glasses of wine and four cocktails. Easily done... Very friendly and enthusiastic bar staff. Shame it does't have a late licence though.

2.40 for a pint of lime & soda? You're having a laugh, mate. That's what I was charged one Sunday afternoon last summer but managed to haggle the sheepish barman down to 1.80 which is still taking the p*ss. Lovely sun trap round the back and a very well turned out interior. Good for an early evening snifter and good on live music nights. Shame it's so flippin' expensive though.

Not been in since an unfortunate nut allergy incident 18 months ago which was handled very poorly by the staff, but they seem to be making an effort with live music now. Still no real ale on.

The Assembly House, Kentish Town
Refurb is ok but it's blanded out a bit. Shows some football despite an initial ban. Was the best place to watch Sky but they have this frustrating policy of showing the game but turning off the commentary. Beer good too.

A hip place for Stafford. I agree with the previous poster; best late bar in town.

A gay bar now. Myself and t'wife were turned away by the bouncer, saying "we're closed" when there was clearly some serious partying going off inside. I lived in Stafford in the 80s and The Nags was one of my favourite pubs; great jukebox and a cracking pint of Bass. Still, it's good that Stafford has an obvious gay bar. Whatever happened to the slightly disabled bloke who used to collect the glasses?

Cracking bar in an area bereft of decent drinking holes. A bit pricey but decent selection of drinks. Very atmospheric at dusk with candles and a real fire. (Another rarity) Shame on Jon Snow and the NIMBYS round the corner who objected to a late licence.

The Spread Eagle, Camden
Not too chuffed with the makeover. It's taken some of the atmosphere from it, especially the bay window area looking on to Parkway. I preferred it slightly care worn. Beer still spot on though.
