Nice pub which feels like a pub should do. Very busy on the Friday nights when I have visited, not tried the food but the beer is good: evern tried a pint of porter (never again). Really nice atmosphere, age range varied would recommend.

The Old Barn Farm, Three Legged Cross
A frequent user of this pub over the years, I despaired on Friday night when finally they lost my custom. A very varied menu, so lets try sole, "off" monkfish "off" mixed grill? "off" we finally settled for steak and a veggie dish for my wife. In fairness, my wife's meal was fine, but mine was appalling, poor service too.
Onto the drink, well we ordered a bottle of Chilean vin de pays, not cheap at 13.00 a bottle and not good value either, neither was the pint of bitter which I struggled to drink as like the wine it was warm and insipid.
At least the staff were friendly and kept on trying to get us to enter the quiz, which when we finally persuaded them that we really didn't want to play, they piped through to us via the loudspeaker system. Fell sad moaning about this pub, but it has slowly gone down the pan and its only hope is that it will pick up in the summer when the grockles come in, otherwise another Dorset pub is likely to close.
Avoid unless you have to go in.

Drovers Inn, Gussage all Saints
This pub has changed hands so often in the past and it is nice that it seems to have established itself once more on the map with locals and "outsiders" The food is good and well resented as is the beer and wines, although I have had a dirty glass here more than once.
Log fire and pleasant gardens int he summer make this a pleasant pub to visit: nice too that they support the local community and when I last visited it seemed to be doubling up as a shop.

Best pub in Wimborne by a mile. ....that is if you like gastro pubs with large quantities of very acceptable lagers imported from exotic places. Food is good, but expensive and I suppose you get what you pay for and you do too. My wife and son love it, particularly the fact that you can sit outside late in the year as the garden has patio heaters. Not good for the environment but hey ho, its a pub with character. Recommended if you are not one of those who like twigs in your beer and a bit more than a pickled egg for supper.

Just revamped. A very friendly pub which sells a host of keg beers and some guest beers. Focussed on the family and split into two bars, one for the locals and the other for families. Food is good and the service likewise. Overall, well worth a visit, but not as good as the Olive Branch in town.

Nice pub, very good staff, but the food and drink are a little pricey. We have eaten here once and whilst the food was good, the place was very crowded and noisy. We didn't try the beer but drank a reasonable bottle of Pinot instead, well until you looked at the 18.00 price tag: IT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER.
Overall I would visit this pub again, but probably in the week rather than the weekend. One really good point. It was nice to see a pub packed.

A damn good pub, with a wide range of beers, albeit mostly foreign. The Willett Arms has gone up in the world since being a Brewer's Fayre and is sort of like a gastropub. The menu is varied and the service is generally good: nice friendly staff at the bar and in the restaurant.
We visit about once a month now and I have yet to leave disappointed: after the Olive Branch this is my favourite Pub in WImborne: the food is probably better here, but the beer is better in the Olive Branch.
Certainly worth avoiding the Stocks and Horns to get to.

This pub has gone down hill over the past 12 months or so. We have always tried to support local business, but I fear we have visited the Stocks for the last time. Our last visit, we were served our food by a waitress who not only took our order wrong, delivered the wrong food and actually overcharged us. Onto the food, well, my wife ate the Lemon Sole, which had not been cleaned properly and I could not believe it when the chef visited our table and argued that he had worked in a fish restaurant and flatfish often have their innards left in them. We paid and only afterwards we checked our bill and found that we had been overcharged.
From a drinks perspective, my wife ordered a white wine which was warm, although the Guinness that I had was really nice. Our 9 year old asked for Lemonade with no ice and the drink duly arrived full of ice.
I fear that this once popular pub will go the same way as the Barley Mow and the Rising SUn, both now closed. It was empty the last time we visited (22nd December 2009) and it was no better when I popped in tonight, probably for the last time

The Horns Inn, Colehill
From strength to strength. The community minded landlady tries very much to involve the local community hosting a number of events. Food is pretty good (my son likes it) beer is Ringwood and ok, but not for me and I remain one of the Guinness drinkers.
