Such a shame, this should be one of the best pubs in the country. Needs a good clean and you can see and smell the bins from the outside garden....on the flipside it has amazing views of the jurassic coastline..

this pub is now under new management and the food and service is outstanding. please ignore previous reviews. eaten here twice in the last week. I recommend the mussells... :)

Went to eat here last week whilst on our holidays was closed :( maybe due to time of year! We ended up at The George in West bay, as heard it had new owners! lovely pub! and great food!

Stopped off here for tea last week whilst staying in Charmouth with our children and in-laws, service was great and everybody was really friendly.
Food was really good too, everything seemed fresh and the lady who worked there was saying they try to keep everything as local as possible...they sell cupcakes too on the bar which both our son and daughter had, kept them occupied whilst we had a afternoon swift half! they said they were yummy!
Lunch is good too! menu is varied and a good selection of hot and cold food, the family room is ideal to just relax in. We are going to go back in the Summer, as we were pleasantly suprised.
We can not compare with the other pubs in the harbour as we have not been to them, but we would give the george 10/10!

ok for what it is. If you want a cheap meal and arn't too fussed then this is the place. We have a holiday home in Charmouth and often come here..
