Deers Hut, Griggs Green

I thought that i would try this pub, for the first time, in the sixteen years i have lived in the area. This was sat 20th. Oh dear. not sure what the other comment is all about. hate to think what it was like before it improved. i have never been in a more dismal pub ever. staff seemed friendly ! food was to say the least very poor. steak was okay sort of, the rest was microwaved, even the desert, which most of it was inedible and was left. not much change out of �50.00. sorry, but this will be the first and last time that i go there.

The Robin Hood, Standford

This was quite a nice pub a couple of years ago. It has changed hands since then, not for the better. food was good back then and beer was as well. Once again the lease is up for grabs. so keep your fingers crossed, it may be a good pub again with good food.

The Anchor and Horseshoes, Burpham

Went here to see a band play called Even After recently. Band were good, not so the beer. Oh dear. Being an ale drinker, had to change sides and drink lager, and beer IPA was toooo warm. Seems friendly?? staff could smile a bit more. Locals seem friendly?? Will i go back? highly unlikely. no wonder this is the only pub left in the village. Shame really.

The Jolly Farmer, Blacknest

The Jolly Farmer is one of the local pubs i use and visit at least once or twice a week with friends. we find the food good, mmmm a bit pricey but have always have enjoyed what we have, sorry no complaints on that front. Had a bad pint of HSB recenctly, so i complained and got a fresh one. Staff are always friendly and polite. If anyone has complaints, see the manager, whom i am sure will sort the problem out. Sorry, but don't whinge about it afterwards.
