The Spread Eagle, Shoreditch

This pub is really fantastic. Especially as I hear this Saturday 26th, a band from South London called 23frames are playing!
They are well worth the visit to this trendy corner of London's trendy East end!

The Dog and Bell, Deptford

One of the things that makes this pub so excellent is the pub quiz on Sunday evenings.
It's a really good way to end the weekend.
It usually starts around nine & regulars at the pub seem to take turns in hosting it.
I hear also, that two very clever, witty raconteurs named Ben & Ian are taking on the mantle of Quiz Master this Sunday 23rd.
They are said to be rakish purveyors of masterclass trivia.
I know I'll be there as usual, with my pint of Old Vicar's Jock-Strap.

The Caernarvon Castle, Camden

I went to this pub a few months ago and had a wonderful night. It was their Friday night band showcase, and I went along expecting to see the same old silly rock sounds I've become accustomed to in this area. In to my 3rd or forth pint, on came a band called 23FRAMES. Let me tell you,this group blew my hat,socks,scarf & balaclava off (it was a chilly evening). I was simultaneously shaked,choked, grooved-up and moved to my core by their blistering, twist-ankled, fiery blaststorm of a set.
The actual pub itself, the decor and whatnot,is pleasant and perfectly conducive to all round public-house recreation and enjoyments.Recommended.
