The Royal Oak, Holmbury St Mary
Lovely location, place is a bit tired inside but staff were friendly to kids dog and wife and value for money the food is easily the best in surrey hills. The roast beef was very good and the beer choice was nice and well kept.

Awful pub. Service very very slow, muddy mountain bikers everywhere and rude locals. Food very average, outside toilet that was not clean! Stuffed owl outside the toilets, why!!!!

Stephan Langton Inn, Abinger Common
Went there a few weekends ago on a Saturday night. Pub is lovely inside cosy bar and nice Resturant area. Beer was ok ring wood best normal price; thumbs up wine quite pricey though. Food was unfortunately a bit hit and miss I had a very nice steak and chips and the misses had an over cooked prawn risotto dish!! All in all will return at some point but not in a hurry

Went a few Sunday's back after continuing my Surrey hills pub tour. Had a fantastic roast dinner. Tied pub so beer choice limited but a well kept pint was served. Place was very tidy and aesthetically is a lovely place to visit. Downside bar not that big so took a while to get served when it got busy.

Went there Saturday night had a steak that was incredible. Service has improved since last visit and was most impressive. Will be returning, well done the Parrot.

Went last Saturday, food took a long time to come but was very nice when it did, although burger slightly over done. Pint of Sussex was very nice and her rose wine was very tasty. Staff very friendly, setting amazing, will be returning.

New Managers in, doing a great job. Menu has increased in size and now has some amazing burgers. Beer well kept and priced at a reasonable level. They dont seem to mind walkers, dogs, cyclists and even kids! Gets very busy on a Sunday which is a pain. Easily the best pub in the Surrey Hills.

Went in the other day and at last they have gone not before running the pub in to the ground and loosing 90%of the trade this lovely pub had prior to the binyons arrival.
True to form the arrogant belligerent mr Binyon and his drink laden wife posted a childish final rant in the local parish magazine! The last hooray of a failed publican!
The good news is the new tenants Debbie and John hit the ground running and it is packed in there again the have a great job in such a short time it will take awhile to repair the damage done from the previous tenants but they are progressing well , thankfully!
