The Compasses, Tunbridge Wells
Always been a lovely little pub, a bit out of the way, but worth walking up that hill for!!

One of the better pubs in TW, Great quiz night, and good live music (if a little cramped). Gets HEAVING in the summer, so get there early ish if you want to sit in the garden, and don't expect speedy service. But, great beer and a brilliant atmosphere makes it worth it. Also has probably the smallest Gents Toilets in the world!!!!

The Pitcher and Piano, Tunbridge Wells
God how I hate this place!!!!! If faced with the choice between going there or Coco Lounge after spending the night out drinking......I generally went home!

Your guaranteed a good pint in there, I can't remember ever having left here sober (come to think of it, I never remember leaving......!!), live music is great too, perhaps a little small for the amount of people that cram in, but it adds to the atmosphere. I'm very interested to see their "Silent Disco's" in action!

Refurb has made this pub awful......Sorry Fuller's but how did you get this SO SO wrong?!?! An area like Beckett's has no need for an upmarket Gastropub, it did what it did incredibly well before, all you've done is alienated the "regular" custom.

"Trendy" pub, thinks it's better than it is (it's in the perfect town for that though!), there are better pub's with better beer's and FAR better food than this place. If you like quirky and different, go to Sankeys down the road.

Went in here for the first time on Sunday - I thought it was a Youngs pub, but was pleasantly surprised to find it is Hall and Woodhouse!
Lovely pub, great beer , beautiful large garden. Only downside was price - at 6.40 for a pint and a pint of coke I think thats a bit on the steep side, but it's H&W, they only do good pubs and good beer, so sometimes you have to excuse the price!!!
Will be back, as often as we can afford ;D

Not the most comfortable pub in the world, and a little bit on the pretentious side...

Toby Carvery Pub, West Worthing
Terrible. Went there Friday, really wish we hadn't!!!! Saving grace was the waitress who at least had the decency to admit that the food was poor, and the place was filthy

Im not sure what the last poster had been smoking, but this place has recently undergone a massive refurb!!
Ate in the restaurant on Friday night - I had the Boboti, with a pint of Abbott Ale. Amazing food, good service and the pint was crystal clear. For anyone who has had a bad experience in there before - give it another go now, and I reckon you will see a massive difference.

Lucky enough to have found this pub this afternoon after a long morning at work!!! Well kept beer, fantastic smoking area (clean too which is a rarity!) and friendly staff. Will definately be back for more!

My partner and I went there for a drink 31/1/10, one of the best pubs I have been lucky enough to find local to where I live - by a LONG mile. Cosy, welcoming, fantastic ales and wonderful company all night means that we will be going back as soon and as often as we can. Keep up the fantastic work!!!

I lived in the area a few years back and this pub was my bolt hole when times were rough at work!!!! Pleased to see that Kev and Claire are still there- they were great to me and even let me in to watch the All Blacks kick the Lion's backside at half 6 in the morning!
One of the best pubs i've had the privilege of drinking in!

Went to the West Quay last friday for some food before going to the cinema. I work in the Pub Trade myself, and I have to say that at half 7 at night i was amazed by the cleanliness, standards and quality of the food that a WETHERSPOONS was offering!!! Not often you see a clean wetherspoons at that time on a friday night!! Food was of a good quality - they have definately improved their food suppliers!! Only small complaint was the selection of Real Ales, but they have a beer festival on from next week anyway so im not too disappointed!!!!

Fantastic pub, well run, the staff are an asset and the Kitchen is run impeccably. Lots to offer anyone living in the Pevensy/Bexhill area

We took this pub over in December 2008. We have worked incredibly hard to improve the quality of both the beer and service in this pub, which had regrettably gone downhill somewhat over the past few years. In the Ham Tree now you can get a very clear fresh pint of 6x or Henry's IPA and we also usually have a Wadworth guest beer (at the moment it's Old Timer AND JCB!!!!!!) Although we are only here temporarily, we are looking to improve the future of this pub, but, as with the industry as a whole, the pub needs the supprt of the local village and everyone who lives in it! Please come and support your local pub. Thankyou.

The Foresters Arms, Tunbridge Wells
Now Re-opened as Murphy's - an Irish bar. Strangely though, unlike Cassidy's it is actually run by an Irishman!!!!! Stewart has worked damn hard on the place and the pub is actually a pleasant place to go. They are getting a lot of passing shopping centre trade, and a bit more besides. Stewarts rule is, go in, have a drink, if you don't like it then your not forced to go back!!! somehow, i think you may go back though.......

The Crown and Anchor, Shoreham by Sea
We went for a meal there last Monday, and both me and my partner had the Burger for a fiver deal. The burger was hand made (with a little hint of chili), and was cooked perfectly. Decent pint of Harveys, and the staff were very attentive. Suffers' from a little bit of "regulars" syndrome in the bar, but you can't hold that against the pub. Overall, we'll be back again
