Lovely little boozer in my opinion, there is usually some good beer on tap, with a selection of Fullers and other brewers over between 6-8 pumps. The staff are generally friendly and helpful, the views over the bus station are great and I've always walked away satisfied (which is pretty damned good for a pub in train station in my experience).

The Coach and Horses, Stoke Newington
Have been popping in here for a couple of day time pints reasonably regularly of late. The ale selection is Doom Bar, Tribute, IPA I think but I like of bit of Tribute so I'm happy enough. Friendly place, nice atmosphere, food seems to go down well amongst those eating, and you get a real slice of stoke newington life sat on the benches outside on a sunny day.

Lovely little (big) pub, some fantastic ales, some interesting locals, and some slightly snotty staff (2nd round came in at 30p cheaper than first one, once the barman seemed to be reassured that my son and i weren't a couple of football hoolies).
I had tasty pints of Bellringer and Pitchfork at £3.20 a pop, which is good enough, there were about 5 others on pump I think. Beer garden was very pleasant, nice chatter and people having a good afternoon. And there was bar billiards inside!!! Didn't play as we were a bit wobbly after walking and so on, but I thought this was a cracking find.

The White Hart, Stoke Newington
Visited a couple of times in last few weeks and I have to say that the combination of a nice beer garden, decent ale and very tasty (and fresh) food has been welcomed. Ales seem to be Landlord, Tribute, Doom Bar and one other, with the first one drinking particularly well. And they got a pool table.
Clientele depends on when you're there, so quiet-ish in the weekday afternoon, post-work early evening and then a mix of people later on. Service usually pretty good and although the bar food can be pricey at top end, we found most of it good value but alos lots of clearly fresh ingredients, which was very good.
Certainly worth a look, will maybe visit on a weekend evening to see if they still employ demented security staff, which put me off here one evening a few years back.

The Fox and Anchor, Smithfield
Stumbled across this place this afternoon. Perfectly pleasant place to sit at the bar and drink some very tasty Roosters Yankee. 5 other ales on tap, and polite prompt service, with some lovely soft jazz music to accompany our pints. Pricing was quite high, which is the only reason I am marking this down a bit, lovely little oasis on a spring afternoon.

The Rising Sun, Tottenham Court Road
Had a couple of pints of some very well kept London Pride on Friday night, they also had Tribute and a couple of other ales, all pleasant enough really. Not too busy but was getting lively by the time we left. Worth a visit if you're in the area and fancy a pint.

How I haven't drunk in here before, I don't know. Popper in last night before a theatre show, chatty but chilled atmosphere, 8 ales on tap with a range of light, pale, smoked and stouts on offer. Tried a taster of 4 at suggestion of friendly bar staff and settled on a pint of Rudgate Barristers Brief (which seemed appropriate, givem the locality).
Well kept beer, and we also ordered some food which was excellent value for money. Prices are reasonable given it's location, service was very good indeed, staff were helpful and happy and we'll definitely be visiting again in the near future. Lovely little pub, first class.

One pint of flat London Pride, two blokes playing darts and three blokes sat at the bar. Bit wide and lonely.

What a belting little pub. Recommended by a friend of mine whose dad drinks in there regularly. Arrived to find the place heaving, two-deep at the bar and the back room thronged. So I squeezed myself in and ordered a pint of Pitchfork (marvellous). After a bit, some seated space became available so I settled in with a paper and had a couple more pints of Pitchfork (seemed rude not too).
Also had a couple of Butcombe ales, a porter and another ale, as well as 3 or 4 ciders. Also noticed the snug on the way out, but to be honest, I enjoyed the main bar immensely, great pub, great people, thanks very much.

Popped in for two of their meal deals, what a bargain. 5 for a plate of food and a half (Doombar for me). Food as tremendously tasty, nice to eat somewhere veggie, staff and customers were all very pleasant as well. Couple of other ales on tap and lots of music/social things happening which my boy was quite interested in.

Popped in for a pint of Henry's (at a very reasonable price), nice pint of beer but only the landlord, and two other locals in the place. From listening to some of their conversartion, I would guess that there's been some changes to the landlord and a few locals are drinking elsewhere now. Also, seems to be open from about 3pm to 8pm at the moment, but if you're in the area, it's still worth popping your head in.
Also, does ham or cheese sarnies (with chips) that looked good. 6X was the other ale from the barrel behind the bar.

Great little boozer. Popped in last week with my son (who has just started at the Unit). Barmaid was receiving a shoulder massage from a regular when we walked in, despite my insistence that she shouldn't rush (cos it looked relaxing), she was friendly and efficient in pouring us a pint of Abbey Ale Bellringer (very tasty) and a Guiness.
Pub was warm and cosy, we stayed for another round of drinks cos it was so pleasant, and it's a very pleasant place to spend some time. two other ales were on, but i can't remember what they were, the Bellringer took all my attention.

Went and had a couple of pints this afternoon. Couple of ales off, but we drank some pleasant dark mild and porter, pleasant staff, tasty chips and the christmas deco's coming down around us.

The Nobody Inn, Newington Green
Very disappointing. Went along for New Years Day drinks with some local friends, bought an ale for me and a water for my 17y/o son. Sat down and chatted for a while, some other friends turned up and then a sour faced bar-woman came and asked my son for id.
I pointed out the fact of him drinking water but she insisted we leave straight away. I drank my pint in a couple of gulps but it tasted very sour. Very poor pub experience in my opinion, I don't think I'll be drinking there again. New Years Day, all very well behaved and asked to leave the pub. W*nkers.

glad to report that the yucatan has its doors open and screens switched on again.

Best pub in the area, quite simply. Tastiest beer, friendliest patrons, tuneful jukebox, good quiz, and pickled eggs as well as a decent selection of bar snacks. Recommended in my opinion.

The Rose and Crown, Stoke Newington
We went on Sunday gone and each had a fantastic roast dinner, i thought the prices were very reasonable for the amount of freshly cooked grub that you got, and I had a decent pint of Thwaites as well. Very busy on a Sunday afternoon but worth a visit i reckon.

This is shut down at the moment, but I'm hoping its going to re-open soon.

The Coppermill Tavern, Walthamstow
Popped in this avvie after frustrated attempt to get to some free music thing in a park in the stow apparently.
Sat outside on the benches, enjoyed the company and the atmosphere and the locals, very tidy little boozer, Doom Bar might have done with changing but otherwise, can't complain at all. We'll definitely be back now I've discovered what a nice little cycleway exists and with such a good pub en route between Hackney and Waltham Forest.
