Have always found this place friendly. The food's general always very good with a wide variety to choose from. You can go there just to drink but you'd be in a minority. Tip: Best to book a table for an evening (even midweek) rather than just turn up.

Great pub - great beer (Harveys). If you want to rile Joe the landlord then ask for London Pride - hysterical!!!

The Pilot, Maidstone
Since my last message, Joe has moved on (to the Brecknock Arms on Bells Yew Green near Tunbridge Wells). The new management are a lovely couple called Matt and Gina and have carried on from where Joe left off. Still great atmosphere!
