The Princess Louise, Holborn

A very decorative interior only let down by just doing Samuel Smiths best bitter. A stronger bitter would be a welcome addition.

The Jerusalem Tavern, Clerkenwell

We had a good couple of pints of St Peters bitter but were not that inpressed with the green wood panelling interior. It was also incredibly smoky.

Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, Fleet Street

Very interesting and historic. However only having Samuel Smiths bitter available is not very good.

The Lord Nelson, Brentford

Went there before a Brentford game and found it to be an excellent pub with a lovely garden. Came back after the match and had some good value food as well. Child friendly too.

Sir Alfred Munnings, Mendham

Never seems to be open.

The Red Lion, Needham

Now change to a restaurant virtually. Not open Sunday evenings or Mondays. Not a pub atmosphere any more. Shame as it used to be quite good. Not sure what the locals make of it as it was empty except for a table of 6 last time we went there.

The White Elephant, Diss

Now re-opened. Wouldn't take your mother in law there but ok for a quick drink.

The Shed, Norwich

A serious disappointment. I expected something like the fat cat but there didn't seem to be any atmosphere. May be because it was only 7 o'clock. Very limited range of real ales. The Fat Cat has spoilt us.

The Kings Head, Norwich

Good pub for real ale fans and specialist bottled beers from Belgium and Czeck Republic. Great to go to a pub without kegs. Very busy just after work.

The Prospect of Whitby, Wapping

Interesting pub. Comes out of nowhere. Doesn't seem in keeping with the area as this has changed so much. However an excellent pint of speckled hen and great views of the Thames. Pubs like this need saving.

Great pub, beer straight from the cask behind the bar. Good food by the look of it too.

The Colton Arms, Barons Court

As visiting Norwich fans to our disaster at Fulham this was the highlight of our day. Brilliant landlord, been in the family for years. Excellent real ale, friendly. A real find. Shame we won't be in the Premiership next season although we could go to it before QPR!

The Compton Arms, Islington

Great pub. Rally nice landlord and customers who gave us visiting Norwich supporters a real welcome and even a football and video for the kids. 5 Real ales - tried them all. Friendliest pub I have been to in London.
