Really like this pub, only been a few times recently, due to the fact it is very close for work.
Most times i go i have 6X which is always right temp, very nice. Tried food a couple of times, always been good. Staff have always been brill.
Went there for lunch on the friday just gone and im not sure if i was lucky with regards to waiting time on food, because the place was packed, we only just got a seat, everyone was eating, but the food was out within 20-25 mins, so no complaints there!

Better then the swan across the road, a few pool tables, good selection of beers. Still not brilliant but ok for the odd drink.

First time i went here was when i was 16 with my dad and there was a fight, with pool cues i might add and i could just about decifer some other words other than f*ck and c*nt.
Went here a while ago for a pool night though and as you can imagine it was the sort of place i went into thinking, wonder if we are gonna get trouble tonight?
Had a great time though... the locals who we were playing in the pool league were a good laugh and we beat them but there were no hard feelings, they put on a great curry for us too.
Having said this its not the sort of place i would go to on my own (some of the people on my own pool team you just wouldnt mess with... makes it that much safer).

The Queen's Head, Dogmersfield
Went here the other day for the first time. It wasnt too bad in my opinion. I had two pints of Pride of Romsey which were good and a pie that was ok, nothing special. My girlfriend had a veg.lasagne which even though im meat meat meat, i have to say was excellent.
I know what u mean about the staff though, was only one english guy training up a couple of foreign girls, but the service was ok (however i went at a very quiet time, only about 10 people in the whole pub)
Only problem was they tried charging me for a pint of kroney i didnt have and when i explained to the girl i had drunk 2 pints of Romsey, she still only charged me for one.. i wasnt going to complain.

Have a very mixed opinion of this pub. I go there occasionally and last time i went (before the takeover) i had a nice pint of youngs and the pub was busy but no problem getting served.
However now i hear bad things. Apparently the only lagers available on tap are holsten and oranjeboom? Although this may please some of the customers from what i have been reading in the last few posts. I also spoke to a couple the other day whos local is the plough and they said the food was ok, but the problem was more sky tv everywhere. I dont mind a few screens in a pub but apparently another huge one has turned up, they claimed sky tv was blaring out, music was on and you couldnt hear each other speak.
They also noted it is never that busy anymore.
I should stress this is what i have been told by a few of the people that use the plough a lot and i have yet to check it out myself, will do an update when i get round to visiting again.

Generally a pretty good pub, clean and friendly which are 2 things hard to come by in most Farnborough/North camp pubs.
Beer here is usually good, although i went in recently to find all the ales were off and apparently had been for a week.
Food was, unfortunately, very average, my girlfriend had a burger with cheese and bacon which she says was ok but nothing special. I had a steak which i asked for rare and came out well done. My other friend asked for a steak medium and she couldnt even cut it.
In fairness though, i found out it was the trainee chef in the kitchen so if somebody showed him how to cook a steak it would have been fine.
Somewhere i would go back to, but my local will always be the PoW.

Great location, brilliant in the summer if you like a drink by the river, but i havent been for a long time and seems like the food isnt the best thing about this pub, shame because a lot of pubs would kill for where they are situated

The Imperial Arms, Farnborough
Just been taken over by a new couple so hopefully they can improve it a bit, but would take a lifetimes work and about 50k to get this place decent.
I love ale but when i occasionally drop in to the imp i drink lager... if a warm, cloudy and generally nasty pint that has been sat in the lines all day because nobody drinks it is your sorta drink then you wont be disapointed.
Most of the staff are nice but a fair few arrogant pricks for locals unfortunately

Used to be good for a ruck, not sure if it is still the same, but put it this way, if u walk in and your not a local, you are sure to get a few stares,
Plus if you even dare to use their huge and always empty car park for 2 mins just to pop next door to kfc, you will without a doubt have someone outside, before you have even locked your car, giving u a f**king earful which is far from polite,
great way to build up some custom guys,

The Thatched Cottage, Farnborough
Menu has changed here recently, food still nice but quite a bit more expensive.
Ales are generally pretty good (although not as good as The Prince it has to be said). Nice Landlord and most of the staff are very friendly, big pub with a big beer garden, good selection of lagers and lets just say the locals are very diverse.
Definately one of the better pubs in Farnborough, so well worth a visit sometime soon,

The Prince of Wales, Farnborough
Fantastic pub, without doubt the best in Farnborough, although the rest arent exactly good competition.
Locals always seem very friendly to me, good mix of young and old people, all enjoying the great ale. Very good, constantly-changing selection, Tea, Fortyniner, Youngs, Tanglefoot and Pride on the front pubs, Summer Lightning (a favourite of mine) frequently on the back pumps.
Staff are excellent, always a good laugh and most are very knowledgable about the beer. Food is also superb although only served at lunchtime due to being a smaller pub.
Anyone going to Farnborough should definately pay a visit to this pub, anyone who has a bad word to say against it (with a small exception to the prices) is talking absolute rubbish *cough renfield cough*.
10 out of 10 for me

The Greyhound, Ash
Really disapointed with this pub. Went there for lunch for the first and last time last week. Pub wasnt very busy at all, waited about 10 mins to get served as there was only one lady who was serving.. she was trying her best but they needed two in my opinion.
Before we ordered we asked how long the food would be and we were told 20 mins. However after waiting nearly 30 mins i went and asked the girl where the food was and she turned round and had the cheek to say... i told u it would be 45 mins! I quickly reminded her that she told us twenty mins and that we now only had 10 mins to get our food and get back to work.
She went off to the kitchen and our food did come out 5 mins later, but by this time we had waited about 40 mins and had to wrap up our food in kitchen roll and go back to work.
In all fairness, she did apologise as we were leaving, which was nice of her and said the waiting time had been 20mins before a group of 8 people came in which made it 45mins, but i must be blind because i didnt see a table of anymore then 4 people at this time and to sum it all up, the food was very average and we still got back to work late.
