The King's Arms, Twickenham

Best food and service in any pub I've been in for years.I was there the night of the dogs, they were not fighting as previous reviewer suggests!!
Just a friendly family local with no stupid, dog, clothes or image restrictions!!The original concept of a public house!!

Went to the Springboks game yesterday with five mates had pre game lunch cracking steak & kidney pie had a few pints of clean & crisp London Pride and a few bottles of red from there wide ranging list. Could not fault any of staff magnificent, shame about the rugby. Do not agree with last couple of comments but each to there own.

As promised took the family for lunch on Sunday (wife drove) had a few more pints of London Pride clean and crisp. Roast beef rare, great veg, proper Yorkshire puddings and jug gravy, could not fault it.

Kids played safely in the garden bit so the wife and I had some quiet time.

Met the landlord Peter, great guy ex-rugby player at Rosslyn Park full of great jokes and also met his new wife Hannah who looks at home pulling pints.

House red at 12.50 was great and I had a snooze in the car on the way home.

A proper pub, I will return.

Went for Sunday lunch after a heavy Sat night with some friends (four). Best sunday lunch I've had in years choice from beef, lamb, 1/2 chicken and a vegi offer. My beef was rare excellent vegetables and proper Yorkshire puddings and lashings of gravy. House red excellent at 9.95 per bottle.

Good clean crisp London pride and the ladies cleaned their desserts plates (quietest part of the day).

A must will be back.

Went to the Kings Arms last night 11th May with my other half and another couple for supper as we have heard the Twickenham drums beating on about their great food.

Well it was a Tapas night 6 or 7 authentic bites at 2.50 each and free yes free wine tasting 3 whites a rose and three reds.

Food stunning wines great and we ploughed through more than we should at 9.95 each.

The landlady well two things impressed me enough said!

We are going back on Sunday to test out their roast a snip at 8.50 one course & 10.00 for two and perhaps look at the fine wine list.

After a long drive and getting lost I saw The Red Lion, Mr Thirsty and Mr Hungry were present.I went in an what a pleasent suprise proper pub food, steak & ale pie, real mash and crisp vegetables with a good gravy (large portions to satisfy Mr Hungry) and a cool clear pint of ale.

Staff where pleasant and efficiant the locals in the bar made me feel welcome and laughed at the landlords dry sense of humour.

I do not understand the comments below although I will return if I get lost again in the part of England to sit in the garden next to the river and try their food again.

What a change from before when I wanted to clean the soles of my shoes after have a beer with a mate.

The pub is clean, bright run by two great girls who have recruited some fantastic staff. The food is fresh and cooked to order from an extensive menu has great portions and is terrific value for money. The wine list to accompany the food is has someting for all tastes and is always changing.

Enjoy, I will.
