The Ypres Tavern, Sittingbourne
Nice little pub - heard it is up for sale so hopefully the new owners will only make it better.

Very much one for the children on a Saturday night - usually gangs of early 20 something boys and late teen girls hunting in packs
Lovely food and really nice wine selection - good place to start your night but def be out by about 8pm when the meat market kicks off.
Shame really as interior is lovely and staff mainly friendly but if you are a grown up go the The Red Lion

Avoid it at all costs.
Horrible pub that has a constant smell of wee (used to be covered up by the smoke but no longer!)
Females are very much a rare breed in this place - as are men under the age of 60

I love everything about this pub - the atmosphere, the prices, the food.
HOWEVER - there is one thing that really lets it down. The toilets.
I dont know if it is just me but I find it really off putting going somewhere that doesnt even have sanitary bins for their female customers to use. And the hand dryer is probably older than me!
In saying that the loos are generally quite clean (apart from on a Saturday night but you cant help that when there is only 2 WCs!)
I would have given this place a 10 as it is always a friendly atmosphere and the only place in Sittingbourne for the grown ups to go and dress up (ulike The Vineyard!) but the loos really are a mass let down.

The Bell Inn, Outwood
Used to go here once a month for meeting as it is vaguely in the middle of where all my team live
A nice quite pub with plenty of parking at the back and generally cheery staff. You may be a bit put off if you dont like dogs as there is a massive brown one called Fudge that barks at you as you walk in but is as daft as a brush in reality.
The lasagne is AMAZING and is the one thing i will truly miss as we have now changed venues (not due to anything this place did wrong - just location nearer motorway)
Only thing that i didnt like is the little country lane you drive down to get here - nearly run off road a few times by idiot lorry drivers tearing down it so if you dont have sat nav to help you predict the road make sure you take it slow!
