The Pig and Whistle, Earlsfield
In there the other night, and all I can say that I've never come across a more surly and ignorant barman. I think the two phrases "please" and "thank you" are somewhat out of the comprehension of the afore mentioned member of staff. Also the barmaid on duty at the same time was rather too busy to serve customers as she was talking to the barman, despite 3 people waiting!
I notice that above the bar is an award, saying that the place had won some sort of customer service award for 2007-2008. Must have been for the previous staff, certainly not this shower. Shame really as it used to be a decent pub.

The place has just been closed for a month for a refurb, lets hope that the idiots who ruined the Halfway House aren't going to be allowed to wreck the Sarge! We shall see

Good range of well kept beers and good service as always, despite being being busy.

Seems more like a food outlet than a pub. Strange fire in the middle of the seating area, looks like it's from a washing machine drum! Very expensive though, 2.85 for a pint of Youngs Special, disgrace!

Been in here acouple of times and it is not to bad. It is nice and roomy, but it is not cheap and is more geared towards towards food. At least the real beer makes up for it.

I've been going in on and off over the years to this place and have to say that is quite a decent little pub.The beer quality seems to be generally good and they do the odd seasonal Youngs (Winter Warmer at the moment)as well as the take out bottles(4 for 5).
I find the service pretty good and the regulars friendly enough. A bonus is now that this place is open to midnight.

Great pub near the city centre.Loads of decent beers at a reasonable price. The staff know what they are doing and are polite and keep the place clean. Best pub in Birmingham!

Wetherspoons, Victoria Station
This used to be a fairly good pub,but after many staff changes it has gone downhill. The service is dredfull, I know it's a railway station pub but the staff have to be prompted to serve you as they never seem to know who's next. The non smoking bar never seems to be open anymore making the main bar even more crowded. You go in there and ask for a pint of whatever only to be told that its "not on" despite the pump clip advertising the beer. The beer quality used to be good I suspect due to high turnover but the pint I had the other day was off! Oh dear.

I have been to this place a few times and it always is quiet and I don't know why.Perhaps because it is "round the back" of Wandsworth and therefore not a lot of passing trade. The beer is good quality and there are very comfortable seats to greet you after a long trek round the Arndale centre(or what ever it's called now).

I was In there this evening and was, by mistake served a bad pint.In a lot of pubs I have come across throught the country, this would have been un noticed. The bar staff at once rectified this and was served a good pint. This was done without asking, which shows that they are on the ball when it comes to serving real ale, and all done with a smile,Which makes a change in London.

Great beer is always on tap as well as good service in an old fashioned pub which hasn't been tarted up.

I went into this place the other day and do so infrequently and it never changes, the miserable bar staff who seen to be more attentive to their boyfriends than to customers.
Not all the beers are on despite them being advertised on the pump clips. Also the staff start to clean up around you when there is still half an hour of time to go,very disconcerting.
One good thing is the large size of the place means it rarely gets too full

The current staff are very friendly and efficent. On a Friday or Saturday night and the place is full you never have to wait more than a couple of minutes to get served.
One downside(for me at least) is that they have regular football matches on the large screen TV,which leads to the usual noise and crowding.
The best pub on Garratt Lane especially the Wandsworth end.

The Wheatsheaf, Wandsworth
Went past this place the other day and it was all boarded up and derelict. Looks like it has shut up shop.
