Reopen after major refurb. Greatl local beer, lovely food, excellent service. Highly recommended. Book if you wish to eat, especially at the weekend.

The Blue Anchor, Ruckinge

New landlord, Paul ,at The Anchor. Looks like Doombar and Harvey's Sussex Bitter will be the regular ales for the time being. Timothy Taylor's Landlord was the guest on Sat 19th Oct. All in good condition. The kitchen is being renovated and food will be back on from the 28th Oct. Things are on the up at The Anchor. Good luck Paul.

The Blue Anchor, Ruckinge

I visited on Saturday 20th October and had a few excellent pints of Doom Bar at only �3.00. Courage Best was also on offer and in great condition, best pint of Courage I've had for some time. I wouldn't usually drink Courage Best but it looked so good I had to try it and was glad I did. Steve the landlord knows his stuff, he actually asked why I wanted to swop just to make sure there was nothing wrong with the Doom Bar. The food looked good and is very reasonably priced. Dog friendly, Julie took a shine to our dog and went out of her way to make sure he was fed and watered. Great service, very friendly, highly recommended, we will definetly be back.
