A very nice pub, especially in the non-tourist time. It can be very crowded on weekends, which is good or bad depending on your tastes. They are well stocked with imports and reasonably priced real local ales. The staff is attentive, and either generally witty, extremely (one might say amazingly) attractive, or both. A good place to sit for a night, an absolute must for a crawl through Newquay.

This is easily my favorite pub in Newquay, my local when there. They have great local ales--real ales--on tap with a nice selection of seasonal offerings. Their selection of lagers and ciders are quite good as are their spirits. The food is excellent (bravo, Nick), the owners and staff very friendly, and the regular customers are quite welcoming. This is not a place for hooligans, but it is a realxing second home.

This is a nice place for a good meal, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly. I never noticed much of a problem of rowdiness, although I was not there in the summer. The slection is varied, and it has a bit more character than some in the chain.
