I have now seen it all; a regular urinating in the sink bold as you like. This sort of thing wouldn't have happened in the Bernie and Jane era although sadly he was a regular then also. It is a disgrace I tell you, an absolute disgrace. I've never seen the like!

They have no draught ales or lager again; this is a recurring problem that the inept manager seems to be ignoring on a regular basis. A simple plumber could fix this and it reeks of sabotage.

A reasonable establishment ruined by some very foul mouthed regulars on a Saturday afternoon. The seemingly arty crowd who inserted themselves once the far preferable football crowd left would be barred from most town centre pubs for language. A bizarre orange haired woman in particular stood out as she has the guttural tone of a rabid badger only not as attractive. Disappointing.

The problem with this establishment (and clearly obvious by the low ratings above) is the staff appear to be working to rule. On my limited visits I've found them openly hostile to non-regulars and constantly berating the fact the powers that be are attempting to make improvements to the pub. My advice is if you don't like where you work don't work there; simples.

I was very disappointed to see a once great Wetherspoon's has now fallen prey to the lowest common denominator; Chippendale nights. Whatever they say about Lord Jason who runs the place; fat, bald hobbit or eighties obsessed charlatan toilet cleaner living off his wives coat-tails/name above door one thing he cannot be accused of is being cheap. However ladies and gentleman that is what Bobs has now been reduced to; local celebrity drunks getting their kit off to the rapturous applause of ravenous hen crowd hordes. I had already born witness to Katesgrove drunk-par-lack-of-excellence Tesco "Mick" Hucknall regularly fail to amount to anything other than cider supping and propping up bar but fellow dropping matalan grundies for cash is a brown stained step too far sir! As if that wasn't enough they then wheeled on other local self absorbed man-of-the-sheeple/Union bore Matty "The Stool" Farrall. Not content with trolling the local tin-ter-net and the delusion that the Lovelock led local Labour party aren't actually the fourth reich he now dares to give his gut booty shake status like Chaka Demus & Pliers were a going concern. One can only conclude that Lord Jason has got desperate in his vodka soaked mid-life bowel movements and deemed the Little & Large of the establishment bucks in. Bring back Jay Masters is what I say; he too didn't do a day's work but at least there was always a mis-order of too much bog roll as opposed to none eh?

I'm glad you brought that up Elkart as it's quite apt being that the majority of these trolls are the landlord of this very establishment. He posts on GetReading and the Reading Chronicle too and has for some time unfortunately...

Unfortunately since a well known celebrity moved into the area The Bull has really hit rock bottom although obviously not financially. Queues outside the door, an outdoor festival vibe and the rowdiness that ensures means a once quaint venue now resembles an after match footie pub. Awful in other words. Why the chav hordes and council estate mentality think celeb spotting is a UK pastime is beyond belief; clearly they have nothing better else to do.
