Called in again recently to see if the 'service' had improved-sadly not.
You would be hard pressed to find anywhere in W.London, the incredibly slow service on offer. There MUST be a deliberance on the part of management to employ more than the usual trio of staff present, (frequently two) for despite hundreds of complaints on the S-L-O-W service, this pub persistently will NOT pull it's socks up! As any weary commuter will tell you, it's infuriating to HAVE to wait at least 15 mins for a beer-and a Friday night? forget it! you could be at Heathrow from Ealing Broadway before your turn came up! Actually they are losing cash big-time, for understandably, people who are severley pissed off, just about turn, sick off the inexcusable wait!!

Swift service-pipes are clean, and good range of Ice-cold Lager/Beers and Guinness, have not yet had a 'bad' pint!

McCann's, Hanwell

Still a great pub! Drank here in the early Nineties-made to feel welcome!

The Kings Arms, Ealing

Truly a sensational pub! Since it's very recent revamp, the decor has new furniture, candlelit tables, bright new windows. Vibrant, friendly bar-staff and a mouth watering daily lunch menu. Sunday has choice of FIVE meat carvery menu for under a tenner! Recommended!!

Sir Michael Balcon, Ealing

Efficient young and friendly bar staff, however a little B-O-R-I-N-G despite reasonable prices. Maybe ought to be renamed 'The Mausoleum' pub...

Time and time again pub desperately (and no doubt) deliberately understaffed! S-L-O-W service, although fairly lively atmosphere, abysmal music choice(s) D.J.'s are hellish! Rubbish music!! Pricey-however-if you want a lively 'buzz' despite a three hour wait for pint?-then well O.K.!...

I defy anyone to say they can find a better Sunday carvery than here! Huge plateful of anamazing choice AND they willingly topped up our plates with chosen veggies! Delicious! Not any more expensive than elsewhere-though did find the kids running around on Sunday afternoons irritating-apart from this it is highly recommended!

Red Lion, Ealing

Pleasant pub, very good choice of beers warm & cosy in the Winter (If you can find a seat!) mix of ladies-who-lunch types who'll demolish several bottles of wine in a session, some media luvvies, retired Gents and real ale session Men! Usually packed, but GOOD atmosphere! I'd recommend.

Great atmosphere usually packed-a bit on the pricey side prob due to central location; however one ongoing prob is the 25 min wait to get served! continually insufficient bar staff!! If you're prepared to wait-then fab!Anya the Manager is great and always remembers who is next to be served!

The Newport Inn, Braishfield

Probably the most splendid pub I've ever come across I was first introduced to it on a balmy summer's evening in 1984, and repaid a visit again in August 2005-it hadn't changed at all. Decor and atmosphere more like 1955, and must say the only pub I've come accross with NO juke box/cigarrette machine/tv or any other irritating electrical 'nuisances' to mar the pure art of conversation! Highly recommended for a visit. The still of the 'in-the sticks' atmosphere outside has to be experienced to be believed.Superb!
