Like this pub second to King Eddies down the road. Clean, and friendly atmosphere whihc is a rarity in the godforesaken hell hole they call Stratford.

BSD, puff.n.dip, are you sure you're reviewing the right pub. This place is an absolute dive. Full of those 'down on their luck' types. The booze is very cheap and the food is cheaper, but both are shit. Avoid, unless you've only got a quid to your name and want to spend it on a glass of shit.

The Goldengrove, Stratford

This pubs alright, at the end of the day it's a standard wetherspoons, it is situated in Stratford the biggest shit hole in London, but somehow it overcomes this...the bar staff are very slow though and like all wetherspoons they will serve all the regulars (pensioners) before they serve you.

This place is crap, it's going for the upmarket bar look whilst trying to offer a cheap food menu, the two strategies don't really work.....and please don't eat here it's awful!! Also too many eastern europeans again, they seem to ovetake the place these days.

The Chevy Chase, Stratford

Used to give this place a wide berth just on the impression I was getting from the front of the pub. But wandered in there late one evening having decided to give the cart and horses a miss, and you know it wasn't so bad, loads of drunk people all having a laugh, no trouble and it's much bigger than it looks.

Wiolka don't leave a comment unless you can actually write English properly. Hopefully you've gone back to where you came from with the rest of your lot. Yep Eastern European Headquarters here, makes this place even worse.............but there is the odd time I'm hammered and decide it'd be a great idea to have a late one here. Best bit to this pub is the smoking area out the back which appears to be kept in a better condition than the pub. As far as fighting goes I haven't seen it kick off, and they do have some doormen at the weekend.

Yeah alright Debbie, you're obviously acquainted with the landlord and lady. I was in here briefly and got a terrible reception. Not friendly at all, if you're not a regular or a local of the surrounding estates then you're not wanted.

The King Edward VII, Stratford

This has to be one of the best pubs in London, beer, food, staff and patrons. There isnt a bad thing to say about it. If only it could be picked up and placed outside of Stratford where more people could appreciate it. That's the only thing holding it back....being situated in THE biggest shithole in London.
