I'm really glad The Ship is in the top 10, I've always been a fan, it's got a great atmosphere and I've only ever had a good, fun evening there.

The Lots Road Pub and Dining Room, Chelsea

Very much enjoyed a Sunday lunch here about six months ago. Unfortunately found ourselves disappointed with the offering last Sunday. The meal wasn't cooked to my request; I had asked for medium-rare and received very well done. When it was returned to me after I had sent it back to the kitchen, I was left with the feeling that it was such an inconvenience to the chef, that it was my fault the food wasn't cooked to my preference. We made our point clear to the manager and the meal was taken off the bill. It's still a nice spot, but that's all it is- rather insipid like the word nice...go there for drinks; the quality of the food isn't good enough to justify the high prices.

The Boathouse, Putney

I love this pub. I agree with the comment that it could be described as a large window with some seats, but I like the large window being there so we can all appreciate the fantastic view! I haven't been in the area for a couple of months, but the last Saturday I was there it was so heaving that if it wasn't for the fact I was meeting friends I might have not gone in. It would have been a big mistake; despite being so busy the atmosphere was great; everyone was really friendly. The staff were busy, polite and efficient and we were very pleasantly surprised by a brilliant live band that played.
