The Green Man and French Horn, Covent Garden
An oasis of calm in the busy west-end. A great tradition English pub with a good selection of well-kept real ales. Adnams, Adnams Broadside, Lancaster Bomber, XB & Wainwrights were all on. Really good place to escape the hustle & bustle of Leicester Square.

The Lamb and Flag, Covent Garden
You walk in and feel like you've gone back a century or 2. Well worth a visit, but I'd stick to lager or bottled ale if I were you!

The Essex Serpent, Covent Garden
Always liked the Essex, even more so now as they have given it quite a hefty refurb. It still has a very traditional feel with modern surroundings. The beer was excellent and it's good to see the Essex entering a new chapter.

You've been to one, you've been to them all. Nothing spectacular, just a standard chained operation in the middle of town.

The Round Table, Leicester Square
OK surroundings but no wow factor. Clientele left a lot to be desired and the beer was bloody awful! Not going back.

The Angel and Crown, Leicester Square
A great meeting place in the heart of the West End. Lively atmosphere, good music and well-kept beer. Staff were attentive and friendly. Surroundings were very traditional which is not unusual in this part of town. I will be returning!

The Salisbury, Leicester Square
I waited 15 minutes at the bar and then left - without a drink!
