Sure the Guinness is good, but at 4.00 a pint it should be! It's a pity that the dcor and service weren't as good I was served by a miserable bald bloke recently, who should really learn some manners. There are plenty of other pubs in the area, so will go elsewhere next time.

The food is terrible. I used to go there regularly but don't bother anymore as I've had so many sub-standard, luke-warm meals there. This is a real shame as it's a lovely building in a great location, and could be really good if it was run & managed properly.

A nice, traditional pub. I like a pint or two in here now and then.

I love this pub, but don't got there much these days as it's become really shabby and tatty looking, both inside & outside. A real shame, as it could revert to it's former glory with a bit of TLC. Young's ought to know better. On one recent visit the barmaid seemed to be in a kind of subdued trance all evening, and didn't seem inclined to serve customers at all. HELLO! CAN WE HAVE A BIT OF SERVICE PLEASE? I'D LIKE TO BUY SOME BEER, IF IT'S NOT TOO MUCH TROUBLE!!!!

The Ferrers used to be a really nice pub, & I used to often drink there. However, it's now let down by sticky tables, grubby dcor and dirty/lipstick-stained glasses (which also frequently smell of disinfectant). Yukkety yuk! Needs to be cleaned-up and maintained properly - maybe Kim & Aggie (or failing that, Lambeth Council's Environmental Health Department) should pay a visit!

The East Dulwich Tavern (EDT), Dulwich
I went there recently with friends for the beenfirst time. Nothing special. Sky-high prices, matched with aloof/rude/surly staff behind the bar. Do they not know that it's common courtesy to use the words 'please' and 'thank you' to paying customers? All this with a reported six pubs closing down in the UK per week. The EDT could be next. I won't be back.

Popped in here for a couple on Saturday, whilst visiting Marlborough for the afternoon. Seemed like a nice, traditional old boozer (but that's enough about me!), nice Guinness and an even nicer barmaid!

The Blue Ball, Walton On The Hill
I always stare back at the bar flies, and normally a simple 'You alright mush, do you want to take a picture?' makes them return to their pints. I think that it's going through a much-needed refurb at the moment. I like this pub. The food is normally very good, and is tasty, with good-sized portions, coupled with quick service at the bar. It's a bit on the pricey side, but there are normally a few cheeky looking waitresses serving the grub to make up for it ;o) I'll have to check it (and them!) out when it re-opens!

The Railway Tavern, Carshalton
This pub could be so good, if the beer was kept properly and it didn't have the usual assortment of dodgy-looking herberts grunting and swearing at the bar. Fuller's should be ashamed of themselves - I won't be going back!
